Leg Elevation Above Hip Height
Leg elevation above hip height for larger clients is a regular request. Ambassador can customise the leg rest elevation and padding to improve the comfort and management of Cellulitis or Lymphedema.
In most cases, a standard Ambassador chair by far exceeds the industry standard with leg elevation above hip height. This means most clients will not need to modify their Ambassador lift chair and can order a chair and have it delivered within the week. And their feet will be 85mm higher than the body in a standard A3 Ambassador Lift Chair. We find most clients will be comfortable and relieved in a short time frame of receiving a standard lift chair.
However, some clients experiencing the symptoms of Cellulitis or Lymphedema may desire greater leg elevation above hip height, by 200mm. We recommend customers work with an occupational therapist to customise their Ambassador Lift Chair to further increase the leg elevation above hip height by 200mm. They can additionally customise a standard lift chair to increase the padding in the footrest in production or post-purchase of their lift chair.
Most clients with Cellulitis or Lymphedema may have a significant weight load in their legs and ankles. It’s important to ensure the chair frame and electrics are designed to hold the desired leg load.
